Tam loves living in Colorado after being born and raised in Sydney, Australia. Originally she was attracted to the winter seasons in these mountains as a ski instructor and coach. She has embraced the warmer seasons in the mountains and began competing as an Xterra triathlete in 2009. She maintains her professional status in Xterra but recently is concentrating on Mountain Biking and Cyclocross competitions.

In 2010, Tam was the overall National and World Xterra Female Amateur Champion. As a Pro Mountain Bike racer, she has had various podium finishes in 12-hour solo races, endurance mountain bike races and team races. In the 2014 season, Tam’s first year of Cyclocross racing, she successfully moved into the Pro category.

Tam works as a Personal Trainer at the Athletic Club at the Westin. Assisting people progress and get stronger, both mentally and physically, is her strength. She is well recognized within the fitness community and by clients across the Vail Valley as a dedicated professional who provides individual attention.

Tam uses her experience and knowledge in her role as Head Coach of The Cycle Effect, which is a non-profit organization that provides brighter futures to young women through Mountain Biking. Creating strong bonds with each athlete, as they grow in physical, mental and emotional directions, is incredibly rewarding to her.

Finally, Tam is on the Board of Directors of the Vail Valley Vixens. The Vixens organization offers a supportive, educational, fun, social environment for women to connect with other like-minded women to learn more about riding in the Vail Valley and be inspired by the momentum of cycling.
