Tamara Donelson

Tam loves living in Colorado after being born and raised in Sydney, Australia. Originally she was attracted to the winter seasons in these mountains as a ski instructor and coach. She has embraced the warmer seasons in the mountains and began competing as an Xterra triathlete in 2009.

In 2010, Tam was the overall National and World Xterra Female Amateur Champion. As a Pro Mountain Bike racer, she has had various podium finishes in 12-hour solo races, endurance mountain bike races and team races. Tam works as a Personal Trainer at the Athletic Club at the Westin. Assisting people progress and get stronger, both mentally and physically, is her passion. She is well recognized within the fitness community and by clients across the Vail Valley as a dedicated professional who provides individual attention.

Tam uses her experience and knowledge in her role as Head Coach of The Cycle Effect, which is a non-profit organization that provides brighter futures to young women through Mountain Biking. Creating strong bonds with each athlete, as they grow in physical, mental and emotional directions, is incredibly rewarding to her.
